Turn your diet into habit
Counting carbs is a bit frustrating at first, but most people that have been on the low carb diets swear that it is something that you master in a short time. Most of us eat many of the same things over and over again at home and those will be the first things that you will remember off the top of your head after only looking them up a few times. From there you will only get better and it will not seem like such a burden.

You should already have the book that goes along with the diet that you have chosen and that is the place that you should start finding out more about counting carbs. The diet books that explain your diet will have a table in it that breaks down the amount of carbs in certain popular foods, but it will not cover everything. You will also need to refer to other resources to get all of the carb info that you need. Because of the popularity of these diets and also because diabetics have to keep track of their carb intake as well, there are a lot of books and websites that are all about counting carbs.

The Internet is the best and most comprehensive resources for the carb counter. You can find site after site that show you the amount of carbs in almost anything. From specialty beers to Thai food, you will find the carb values in anything online.
