Not Only Is Carbohydrate Counting Fun, It Is Good For You
Here is the deal. You embrace carbohydrate counting and you lose weight. You get a grip and do what you have to do, and then as a result, you are better off in the end. You will have a thinner frame and better self confidence. Isn't that what you want? Good.
You gotta love carbohydrate counting
In particular, you have to love the guy at the restaurant who whips out his spreadsheets and starts doing his carbohydrate counting at every possible glimpse of something he likes on the menu. Dude, just order a small portion, you're thinking. Well, to you and I, it seems like an easy call. But some people really feel that carbohydrate counting is their lifeline. Their second chance to eat better in this world and enjoy the benefits that come from a superior diet. Who are we to stop them when the basic facts are what they are:
- Carbs, at least some of them, are very bad. Empty calories and carbohydrates are quick ways to pack on the pounds.
- Sure carbohydrate counting is annoying, but you will be able to moderate your carb intake and make better decisions.
- Getting the carbs you need from sources like brown rice and wheat bread and veggies is always a better bet, friends.
So before you go and hate on carbohydrate counting, remember what it has done for thousands of huge people throughout the United States of America. Sure, people get annoying about it. Others still act all holier-than-thou about it from time to time, as if they have some magic secret or are somehow better than those of us who do not believe in carbohydrate counting. But in the end it is a good thing that they are trying to do to eat less, eat better, live healthier, and live longer. So, props to them.
