	<title>Low Carb Diet Plans</title>
	<description>
Not only have we heard of the Atkins Diet, but it seems we cannot get through a day anymore without bearing witness to at least a few products or restaurants that are endorsed by this diet. It has become such a rage in the US and abroad that Atkins has become a household name! Becasue it is so familiar many people have gravitated towards this particular diet, but the fact is that there are actuall many low carb diet plans to research and choose from.

Lesser know low carb diet plans
Another popular diet, albeit lesser known of the low carb diet plans, is the Stillman diet. This diet was the brainchild of another doctor, Irwin maxwell Stillman M.D. It makes its own claim of being a more intense from of weight loss than even the Atkins diet. Dr. Stillman does not recommend it for the long term, it will work quickly and allow you to get rid of a few of the more stubborn pounds than other low carb diet plans.

One thing is clear with this diet - you cannot deviate. He has complied a list of approved foods and drinks for the diet and you cannot eat anything else. At least you can eat as much as you need to feel full and can eat as often as you need to. In fact, the diet advocates for the eating of 5-6 smaller meals throughout the day as opposed to 3 larger ones, this is similar to other low carb diet plans. The foods that are okay to eat are mainly:

lean meats
poultry
lean fish
cheeses
eggs
water, water, water
coffee and tea (without cream or sugar)
club soda and other calorie free carbonated drinks

You can use any of your standard seasonings as you wish, but should stay away from creamy sauces.
If you are interested in trying out this diet, just remember that it should be done for a few weeks at most and that it really does not contain all of the essential vitamins and minerals that your body needs for proper functioning. Unlike other low carb diet plans, it does not allow your body any fiber and so you might not be able to have a bowel movement until after a few days of the diet.
