The worst part about the diet, any diet, is that you have to give up many of your favorite indulgences.  You know those things that you might not have very often, but when you want them you will do just about anything to get a hold of them.  The best example - Chocolate!   

Now, the good news
Food manufacturers have made a lot of headway with many diet foods.  For years most of the diet foods were barely palatable and that goes double for anything that claimed to be low in carbohydrates.  But now, there are a lot of low carb chocolate foods, yes, you read correctly - chocolate.  And they are not half bad, many of them do very well to satisfy any choco urge that might set in at any time of day.  And there is a whole lot to chose from these days including:


handmade Belgian chocolates
milk chocolate bars (with crunch, almonds, fruit, etc.)
 truffles 
various candy bars
chocolate chip cookies
brownies
chocolate cheesecake
mousse and puddings
fudge
icings and frostings



The list of all the low carb chocolate foods does not stop there, you can find just about anything else that will suit your fancy.  If you are concerned about how many of these items might taste, you can find many websites that are dedicated only to tasting all of the low carb, low sugar, and other diet foods.  They then give each item a write-up and a score - then you can be the judge.   

It is always a good idea, while on a diet, to have your kitchen stocked with only those things that are allowed while you are dieting - it is too much of a temptation to have anything else in the house that is a no-no.  Something chocolate always satisfies and can curb your burning desire for something more.
